Tik Manager – Open-Source Pipeline Tool for Game Dev (Now with Major Updates!)

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share something cool that might interest some of you. Tik Manager is an open-source project that’s been around for a bit, but it hasn’t really been in the spotlight until now. We’ve recently put a lot of work into it, added a bunch of new features, and even launched a shiny new website!

Tik Manager is a pipeline management tool designed for vfx and game development workflows. It integrates with but not limited to Maya, Houdini, Blender, 3ds Max, Photoshop, Nuke, Mari, Substance, Katana, Gaffer and Shotgrid to help tech artists and developers keep track of assets and streamline production.

Some highlights:

  • Artist-Friendly – Simple to set up and easy to use, letting artists focus on creating without getting bogged down by complex pipelines.
  • Lightweight & Scalable – Ideal for both solo artists and larger studios.
  • Work-Publish Workflow – Automated asset extraction, validation, and ingestion.
  • Multi-DCC Integration – Seamlessly works with industry-standard software.
  • Cross-Platform – Supports Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Open-Source – Completely free for both personal and commercial work.

If this sounds like something useful for your workflow, I’d love to hear your thoughts or even see some of you try it out.
