Simplifying Blender Studio Tools, Kitsu, and Blender pipeline. Meet OpenStudioHub

Hello community!
I’m a TD from Venezuela. In our small studio, we worked with Blender Studio Tools as much as possible. and well, I wanted to automate the process of setting up a new project to get started quickly on production. So I created this tool to manage the projects and to configure the Blender Studio Tools addons at the same time. And yes, to use Kitsu as our main backend for managing tasks and such things.
I finished a proof of concept of the app and tagged it as v0.6.5. It’s unstable and It’s pretty basic at the moment, but I have a clear view of growing it and of where I want to land to call it stable and feature complete.
You can read more on our blog entry and on the docs:

So, a bit of a disclaimer about the use of LLMs in development. I finished an MVP, coded with the help of LLMs. It’s not meant to be a “vibe coded” app, since I have been checking the code but it definitively got messy at some point. I am currently fixing the mess of the current code by hand and will get it in shape before adding more features. Any ways, I do believe on “hand made” code but it just takes more time. It was my first time coding with an LLM so, it was an interesting experience.

We would love for people to test it, or just view the idea to see if it’s something valuable. I know I will use it for every production we create  but it would be great to know what others think about it, whether you find it useful or how do you solve the issue at your studios.

So, the project has been released under GPL v3.0, so you can try it, break it and let me know about it  .

We also put together a small video to quickly show what we are doing:

So, I hope to hear from you with any questions or comments.

Best regards!

Ernesto.
