Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and refine animation systems and pipelines across multiple Digital Content Creation (DCC) tools (e.g., Autodesk Maya, MotionBuilder).
Collaborate with animators, artists, and engineers to ensure seamless integration of assets and animations into the game engine.
Create and maintain character rigs, ensuring they meet the functional and aesthetic needs of the project
Implement and optimize real-time animation solutions, including character dynamics and procedural animation.
Proactively seek innovative solutions to technical challenges in animation and character systems.
Provide feedback during code reviews to maintain high-quality standards
Document tools, workflows, and processes in a clear and user-friendly manner.
Support the animation team by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to animation production.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 8 years of AAA game production experience as a Technical Animator, Technical Artist, or in a similar role with a focus on animation systems
Proven experience throughout a complete production cycle of a commercially released game or a similar long-term project.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in rigging and skinning complex characters and creatures.
Strong understanding of animation principles and their application in both keyframe and procedural animation.
Experience with real-time game engines and integrating animations into game environments.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for tool development and process automation.
Experience with cloth, hair, and muscle simulation systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
Ability to initiate and develop new concepts through to completion.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with C++ and C# programming languages.
Familiarity with package management and deployment systems like Rez and PyPI.
Proficiency with in-engine animation systems and state machines.
Background in animation for games or visual effects (VFX).
Experience working in a multi-platform, multi-project environment.
