Setting up MayaCharm connection to Maya running on a MacOS
(I’m on 2023 sp3, and Sonoma OS)
Follow instructions for MayaCharm.
- Maya: add your command port command to you’re favorite and most secure way of executing it
- PyCharm: MayaCharm Plugin, Ensure MayaCharm’s command port are the same
- Fix for MacOS privacy and security settings below.

–especially if you work from home, open files from external vendors, work with others working from home–
Under Privacy and Setting | App Management | Add Application (+)
And add you’re Maya App from the application folder.
–There is a popup the first time this occurs that you may catch, with the ability to click allow, again think about security folks–
