I do contract work from home on government projects right now, and they’re thinking of purchasing this motion capture software. If it works, it would save me a tremendous amount of time editing mocap libraries/hand animating, and allow me to focus on environments/shaders lighting, which is win! So far I’m seeing nothing but positives… has anyone used this, or had previous experience with other similar products that they could share?
30 day free trial is what would seal the deal for me if I were in your shoes. It either works for you or it doesn’t and there you are with an easy way to find that out.

Absolutely! I was planning on hooking it up this weekend for a little bit of irl research I’ll post any results/limitations I find for other people.
I was mainly curious if anyone had used it, or if anyone knew of any other market alternatives. If it works, it could really do wonders for our project. As much as I enjoy animation, I prefer getting things working quickly and efficiently
I used this a bit when it was the ps3 eye cameras- for that, I found that wearing an outfit that had contracting colors for each joint worked best, as well as using 4 cameras.
the Kinect update looks cool, but is probably more limited in space, and has issues with limbs swapping when you move them behind you (like swaying your arms about your hips).
Overall, tho, can’t beat the price, and their forum is very active.
