Database dev for indie film

Do you code and know VFX? Come help us build the system behind a film-tech hybrid feature. Remote, flexible, paid.

We’re working on a feature film called Reality Games: it’s a wild hybrid between a film and a tech company. Think Fight Club meets Scott Pilgrim meets a video game. We’re in final post right now with a ton of VFX shots, and our whole pipeline runs through a big custom Coda database that tracks everything from shot progress to artist reviews.

We need someone who can jump in and help us:

  • Clean up and polish the UX so it’s easy for the team to use

  • Tweak automations and relational links

  • Maybe help us move some code off Zapier to an EC2 instance

  • Work around 20 hours a week, starting pretty much right away

You don’t need to already know Coda — it’s honestly super easy to learn, and an LLM (or I) can walk you through anything you don’t know. We just need someone who’s comfortable coding, loves streamlining workflows, and ideally has some understanding of post or VFX pipelines.
