POSITIONS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE:
Lead Unreal 4 Developer
The Lead Developer will work with teams of artists, audio engineers and designers to develop and integrate advanced tools and pipelines. Use Unreal Engine 4’s framework to create core systems and features in C++ and Blueprint, factoring external direction and team feedback into design decisions. Work with new technologies to create tools and systems for interactive real-time production. Must be passionate about VR, music and the cumulative experiences possible.
Graphics Programmer
Work with multidisciplinary teams creating new immersive and emotional experiences powered by music in VR. A high level of technical knowledge complemented by strong creative and visual instincts are critical. Extend our existing renderer to support new rendering capabilities. Optimizing and parallelizing code. Deep and intuitive knowledge of the theoretical fundamentals of rendering and modern 3D graphics techniques. Extensive experience working on low level 3D graphics APIs. Excellent understanding of shader languages, HLSL in particular. Experience with Unreal Engine 4 features. Excellent understanding of C/C++ and Object Oriented design principles. Excellent physics and mathematics skills.
Technical Artist
Thorough understanding of the art and technical pipelines within Unreal as well as a passion for music. High level technical competency in additional to strong creative and visual instincts are a must. The Technical Artist will work alongside teams of artists, audio engineers and designers tackling projects and providing support on issues within Epic’s Unreal Engine 4 and associated proprietary pipelines. Be well versed in the various lighting techniques in Unreal and instruct the artists in lighting best practices. Use profiling to optimize content with the aid of diagnostic tools. Oversee content pipelines from prototyping through deployment. Advanced knowledge of UE4 and Unreal’s Blueprint Editor. Strong 3D mathematical skills. Understanding of both traditional and generative art pipelines. Proficiency with tools such as Maya and 3DS Max.
UI/UX Designer
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to prototype and implement iterative UI/UX elements for musical VR journeys. This is an opportunity to create the language standard for future VR interaction. Identify requirements and design how users interact with emotional experiences in VR. Design wireframes, mockups, and storyboards to illustrate user interface flows. Research UI/UX trends and technology in the VR space. Expertise of traditional Graphic Design, but some comfort with 3D modeling animation, game design and even a dash of programming. Be the visionary of user interface. Design the best pathways to help guide players through menus and interactions easily and intuitively. Be forward thinking & proactive in terms of finding ways to improve the design of the game’s UI across the board with minimal direction. Strong illustration, graphic and typography skills. Experience working within Unreal Engine 4. Deep understanding of the connections between UI functionality and UI aesthetics, and how to maximize impact for the benefit of users. Must be passionate about VR and music!
