YAGER is looking for a FX Artist (f/m)!

YAGER is on the lookout for a talented and experienced FX Artist for our current AAA project – Dead Island 2. Join us in shaping the direction of the project as a driving force and push the boundaries to deliver a unique player experience. We’re looking for people who love the idea of working closely together in interdisciplinary teams within a flat hierarchy and a fast-paced and professional environment.

Responsibilities
• Create real-time special effects for a next-gen action game
• Coordinate closely with art, design, audio and engineering departments to deliver first class visual effects that exceed the state of the art
• Research effects technologies and solutions in close collaboration with the engineering department
• Help to set up and maintain the global tools and workflows related to special effects production

Qualifications
• 2+ years production experience in visual effects, post-production and production
• At least 1 shipped title
• Expert-level skills for real-time particle systems, post processing effects and shaders in game engines
• Solid understanding of game engines (ideally Unreal Engine 4), tools, pipelines and development processes
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and excel under high pressure production conditions
• Good communication skills across multiple disciplines; ability to work autonomously, yet collaborate productively in a team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
• Passionate about videogames

Desired Skills
• Knowledge of 3DSMax
• Experience with fluid simulations
• Console experience (PS4/Xbox One)
