I’m interested to hear what web stuff is being used by other tech artists out there. Have you seen a need/use for web in your pipelines?
Hmm…the closest we come to that as far as actual content goes is using the FBX for Quicktime plugin to preview animations for critiques.
While not art pipeline related directly, I/We use ASP.NET and some other related technologies to manage our build servers and playtest DevKits.
Full builds can be kicked off via an internal website to our build server array as well as have the builds status monitored, etc.
As for playtest, we have a lab of devkits that can all be centrally managed via a simple web interface to start games, sync specific version, get game status, etc.
It’s actually been pretty handy.
