DESCRIPTION
Great technical artists bridge the gap between the engineering and art teams, fixing bugs, implementing assets, and bringing game systems to life. Wavedash Games is seeking a talented tech artist with an obsessive focus on polish to join our team in San Francisco and help bring the next-generation of platform fighters to gamers around the world.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3 years experience as a technical artist or in a relevant field
Shipped at least one game title using Unity 3D
Extensive knowledge of Maya rigging and skin weight workflows
Passion for esports games and an understanding of how their work impacts the experience for competitive gamers
Outstanding communication skills - must be prepared to work with an interdisciplinary team of artists, engineers, designers, and more to prioritize work and drive the team
Pluses:

Experience competing in esports events for platform fighters (Smash Bros, Rivals of Aether, Brawlhalla) or traditional fighting games (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat)
Experience working on personal projects in Unity 3D or similar middleware technologies
Experience working in quality assurance on AAA game titles
Experience creating shaders with Shaderforge or similar node based format.
