Ubisoft Entertainment, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a temporary VFX Artist. We are looking for a talented, motivated and experienced person to help establish and grow the future of Rocksmith and other new exciting titles. Qualified individuals are expected to be organized, with excellent communication skills, and have a proven track record creating high-quality, real-time VFX for AAA titles. This position is slated to be needed thru mid 2013.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Responsible for creating and implementing real-time, particle-based VFX systems
-Work closely with the Art Lead to concept, prototype, and create compelling real-time VFX
-Work alongside the Rendering Engineer to top maximize run-time performance
-Develop the Rocksmith team’s VFX pipeline, workflows, best practices, and toolset
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Strong understanding of real-time particle-based VFX systems
-Shipped multiple titles on Xbox 360 and/or Playstation 3
-Deep understanding of the limitations and constraints of creating real-time VFX on current-gen consoles
-Skilled at using Adobe® Photoshop®, Adobe® After Effects®, and Autodesk® Maya® on a daily basis
-Strong grasp of the basic principles of animation (e.g. anticipation, timing, etc)-
-Understanding of the basics of color theory, composition, etc
-Able to excel in a close-knit, small team
-Ability to produce excellent results within time/technical constraints
-Track record of delivering in a production-based environment
