Ubisoft Entertainment, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a temporary UI Artist. We are looking for a talented, motivated and experienced person to help establish and grow the future of Rocksmith and other new exciting titles. Qualified individuals are expected to be organized, with excellent communication skills, and have a proven track record creating UI for AAA titles. This position is slated to be needed thru mid 2013.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Responsible for creating and implementing the graphic elements of the interface and the menu
-Work closely with the game designers and the UI programmer, respecting the functional objectives and the creative direction
-Organize the architecture of the UI graphic elements and find design solutions to allow easy navigation of the menu and make the game user-friendly
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Strong knowledge of Adobe® Flash®, Adobe® After Effects® and Adobe® Photoshop®
-Solid background in ActionScript 2.0 and 3.0
-Experience creating user interface in Scaleform
-Strong understanding of what makes a good UI design—design, composition, and usability
-Fundamentals of graphic design
-Skills in typography and iconography
-Experienced in creating Motion Graphics
-Shipped at least one title on PS3 and/or Xbox360 as UI artist
-Knowledge of/experience on other platforms such as mobile phones/tablets a plus
-3D modeling/animation experience a plus
-Excellent communicator
-Ability to produce excellent results despite technical/time constraints
-Strong in high pressure environment
