Visual FX Artist (f/m)

YAGER is seeking a talented and experienced FX Artist for an exciting new AAA F2P project. Join us in shaping the direction of the project as a driving force and push the boundaries to deliver a unique player experience. We’re looking for people who love the idea of working closely together in interdisciplinary teams within a flat hierarchy and a fast-paced and professional environment.

Responsibilities
• Create real-time special effects for a Next Gen action game
• Coordinate closely with art, design, audio, and engineering departments to deliver first class visual effects that exceed the state of the art
• Research effects technologies and solutions in close collaboration with the engineering department
• Help to set up and maintain the global tools and workflows related to special effects production

Qualifications
• 3+ years production experience in visual effects, post-production and production
• Expert-level skills for particle systems, post processing effects and shaders
• Solid understanding of rigid body collision, soft body, cloth, hair, etc. simulations
• Understanding of game engines (Unreal Engine), tools, pipelines and development processes
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, to meet deadlines and to excel under high pressure production conditions
• Good communication skills across multiple disciplines; ability to work autonomously, yet collaborate productively in a team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
• Passionate about videogames
