Hi all,
Today I have a new curiosity and would like to know if anyone has got any idea how to set up an advanced car rig with damage simulation too, mixing dinamics and skinning using bones on the top of the sys. I would like to find some advanced tutorials and examples to start playing and researching with. I already have a nice car mesh just waiting to be rigged
As a reference I really like, I have the following
thanks in advance
Well, not that I’ve done the damage sim part, but I would think that is a two part question. First up, there’s plenty of car rig tutorials out there, but it depends which software you are using, so what are you planing to build it in?
Also, somebody correct me if I’m wrong here, I would think the damage sim would happen in the game engine you’re going to build it it. Unless, you are talking film, and want really complex collisions, which becomes more about building all the parts and setting up all their physics properties. If you are talking games, you will probably have to build a damage model, but how to build that, would depend on the engine you want to take it into and how it works in there.
So any ideas what you want to use to make it, and it’s intended final purpose?
EDIT:
This may be a good place to start for you to get an overall idea.
