This position needs a motivated technical/VFX artist willing and able to create innovative and cutting edge visual effects utilizing materials, particle systems, and post-processing effects in Unreal Engine 3. The candidate will work with all art disciplines to transition from concepts and reference material to finalized in-game effects. They will collaborate with peers on placement, implementation and optimization of effects throughout levels and cinematics as well as prototype visual effects concepts for gameplay and engine features. Working quickly to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality is a must.

[/li][li]Efficient working knowledge of Unreal Engine 3
[/li][li]Excels at material, shader, and effects creation in Unreal Engine 3
[/li][li]High-level comprehension of rendering, passes, vertex and pixel shaders
[/li][li]Practical working knowledge of visual effects and compositing principles in 2d and 3d
[/li][li]Passionate and interested in the visual effects field at large
[/li][li]Proficient in Photoshop for painting and editing textures
[/li][li]Average 3D modeling skills using 3DSMAX or Maya
[/li][li]Strong theatrical artistic ability (composition, color, form and space, motion, lighting, etc)
[/li][li]Technically savvy, able to learn new concepts, tools, and techniques quickly
[/li][li]Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
[/li][li]Knowledge of other game art disciplines including animation, modeling, lighting, rendering, and texturing
[/li][li]Relevant industry experience shipping console titles for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360
