Tech Artist *looking* for work

Hello All,

Second post here since joining! :D:

Anyway I was until recently working for a UK games company before they made most the staff redundant (myself included)

Since then I’ve been working with Unity & UDK and doing some folio work.

I’ve got experience doing most aspects of games development, from asset creation to animation & rigging. but I predominantly worked on tools, pipelines & Visual FX, I know Python, Mel & Max script and am learning Java & Shaders (HLSL)

All in all I’m a great all rounder, most of my experience has been optimizing pipelines and visual fx development. I would love to find a new studio to continue expanding my experience,

Sadly due to only having a year and a half’s experience this has proved to be a little troublesome so far.

So i thought i would post here in the hope that either someone would be willing to take on a slightly more junior TA or at least see if anyone else can give me some suggestions on how to improve my chances of finding a new role.

If you want to get in touch with me send me a PM on here and ill give you my mail email address, otherwise comments very welcome

Cheers

~ Joe

Dives back into the shadows of the forums for another 2 years

Do you have a link to your portfolio?

The work from my previous role was all low tech browser based stuff so not exactly amazing visuals, so i didnt really want to use that for applying to new places.

Its something I’m currently working to fix, lack of a decent art folio is the number one problem i know!

We are looking for a TA as well, so feel free to send me any details about yourself.

Cheers Castor, I’ve sent you an email

Pirate Joe, if you are potentially interested in a role at Splash Damage we always have need of additional tech artists/animators.
