What is the best workflow for tearing/ripping mesh?
I have a series of tubes, similar to rings in a tree. What I’m trying to do is show A tear or crack similar to this:
Its the process of a Herniated Disk degeneration. as each layer tears it acts like a rubber band and snaps causing the edges to look frayed.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

You may want to try posting a video of something you would like it to look like, even if its a loose representation. To help others visualize what the desired result is.
