Drinks are always good, Kee’s I bet you can point us in the right direction for a good bar to meet up at.
One of my favorite pubs is ‘Smileys’.
Its close by (I think) to where siggraph is being held.
But its a bit hidden (as in: the front door can be easily missed)
Its very nice inside, good food, good drinks.
Can be busy during big sports events, but usually plenty of room and nice seating.
Is anyone from TAO presenting this year?

I think Mark-J is doing a MasterClass.
Hi Seth, yep, the MasterClass is just finished (thank god!). All to do with Animation Binding, casting data between any source and production rig. Goes on to the integrating of HIK into a remapper to take data from anything to any rig (using HIK as an intermediate). Ends on a neat Binding to raw optical mocap data directly to our internal production setup. Kind of all situations for mapping data between anything, to any rig, and all the pit falls along the way.
Just waiting on approval from the directors here on the final edit.
Hey Mark I noticed on the blog you said the master class goes live on the Area a few weeks before siggraph? will that be available to anyone? You should post a link on here when that happens.

Matt, don’t worry I will. Nothing like a bit of blatant self promotion! It’s normally a link off the area like the older MasterClasses which are still available. As far as I know they usually put a splash screen on the Area Home Page or at least a link from the Siggraph page.
Really looking forward to that class, sounds like it’s going to be pretty awesome. Any other suggestions on classes or talks to make it to.
Vancouver I’ve to go
Just found out today that I’ll be going along with the VFX Lead from our team. Look forward to meeting those of you who will be there. Has anyone set up a meet-up yet?
Not yet. Nothing much on the plans as of yet. CGTalk meetup on the Sunday but thats it so far.
