We’re currently seeking proposals for the AltDev Student Summit, which is a free virtual conference for students that will take place in November. If you’re a game developer with an interest in teaching students things what they won’t learn in school and/or better educating them on the real day-to-day processes of your role, please share your insights! :):
Similar to AltDevConf earlier this year, no travel is required for speakers or attendees due to the online nature of the event, and videos will be posted afterward to act as a useful resource for the community.
As I don’t see a great deal of degree programs delving into technical art topics, I think this would be an excellent opportunity to get more information out there to aspiring technical artists about the different specializations and tricks of the trade. I’d love to see a mass of tech art proposals submitted! :D:
The deadline is technically August 19th, but please reach out to me if you need more time. Proposals are short and sweet, using this form.
