Hello, I was hoping to get some feedback/thoughts on a setup I created for driving up vectors through vertex normals. It’s not something I’ve heard of before, but it might already be a method people use or maybe it’s not used because of some issue/s I’ve failed to consider. I think the concept is pretty self explanatory, but here’s a video demonstration:
I also have a leg setup that uses the same concept to drive the pole vector based on the leg pose. I’m still exploring this idea so I haven’t really looked at what it means at the end of the day for things like IK/FK snap. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.
