well , this is a demo for a kid rig using my own rigging tool for 3dsMax called SAR(Shalaby Rigging/Animation System) , this tool is a multi-phase project for each category which means that tool will be updated over time
with additions, edits or even more types of rigs , modules or even better , plans are big.
while building this tool over 11 (twelve) months i took in mind the troubles of real production i have already faced or reckoned requests to be added for a rig or animation pipeline .
1-one of the most important features and was a dire need for production “character referencing” , which means the ability to make character workflow non-linear let us say :something like Xref.
i could manage in this system to make it possible once it set up , so now you can have a character being finished in modeling while it is being used in animation at the same time !
2-other features like the ability to load moCap data from .bip files making a use of the fact that character studio is a good receiver for most of moCap data in different formats like .FBX or .BVH ,
you can even go further with that by turning them into normal .xaf animation on character to be saved for later use or even for exchange with other characters that uses the same set up
3- not only you can receive the moCap but you can edit it , remap FK animations to IK and vice versa
4-pose library , built-in layer manager , many options for saving and loading animations , FBIK-Like feature are among many many features that come as built-in ones
and just for record : this system has been used and is being used in production and efforts to make it better and more friendly are made restlessly .
