I’ve seen quite a few tutorials having riggers setup the spines with an Ik spline and having the hip/chest twisting driven by ±avg utility nodes in some form (both DT and Mat use this method). So I thought that as long as you’re working on the right axis, you can also use ±avg nodes to have a distributed rotation on a finger bone’s curl, cup and other poses, instead of using SDK’s. I just find that SDK’s take too long to setup, so would this be more efficent?
Yes, using the utility nodes work fine to do distributed rotation if you don’t like the Driven Keys.
