Retro Studios, Nintendo is looking for a Technical Animator

Hello fellow TA’s,

I just wanted to let you know Retro is looking for a Technical Animator. Basically someone who can program Maya tools in Python(Mel), rig, and animate when production heats up.

Here’s the official line:

Primary Responsibilities:
Tools Creation and Pipeline work, focused on Animation related tools
o Will write scripts and tools using Python, but also some Mel
o Will assist in developing a strong framework for our tools and rigging systems
o Will work closely with both animators and engineers
Animation Production work
o Will animate and rig characters as our production cycles heat up
Other tools and production work depending on individual strengths/interests and our needs
o Storyboard, FX, Flash, Character Concept/Modeling, Shaders, and other Tech Art skills
