RedLynx hiring a Technical Artist

RedLynx, a Ubisoft Studio, is a multiplatform game developer based in Helsinki, Finland, with approximately 70 employees and sales of more than 5 million game units across multiple platforms since 2009. Since its founding in 2000, we have developed and published more than 100 games on many platforms including Xbox LIVE Arcade, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, Apple iPhone, Apple Macintosh, PC, web, and mobile phones. Since 2011 RedLynx has been part of Ubisoft, one of the leading game developers and publishers with more than 6000 employees around the world. We are looking for talented people with skills and passion for gaming and game development.

At the moment we are looking for a Technical Artist

As a technical artist, you will be responsible for providing and maintaining art production tools and assisting art and other teams with problem solving and challenges during the development.

We require
• Ability to assist the art team technically and artistically
• Experience in game development
• Fluency in one or more 3D softwares: 3DSMax, Modo 3D, Lightwave 3D
• Good knowledge of one or more scripting languages: Python, Lua, MAXScript
• Experience in realtime shader programming with HLSL/CG
• Understanding modern game engine and content pipelines
• Good communication and team work skills

We appreciate
• Strong digital art skills (lighting, modeling, texturing)
• Experience of C++ and C# programming
• Game graphics programming experience
• Experience in multiple platform development
• Interest in academic papers
