Raven Software, developer of numerous award winning games, including X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Wolfenstein, is seeking a Senior Technical Artist.

Job duties include:

[li]Create![]Be a creative force by collaborating with the art director, graphic programmers, and technical art team in developing and defining visual triple-A quality effects and visual effect stylization, shaders and materials[/ul]

[li]Lead![
]Mentor and manage the project’s team of 2-4 technical artists. Ensure the production schedule and performance of the technical art team.[/ul]
[/li]
[ul]
[li]Streamline![*]Develop, manage, and tune tools, scripts and technical art pipelines and art content to ensure game performance[/ul]

Qualifications:

[ul]
[li]5+ years of experience in the videogame industry
[/li][li]2+ shipped titles as a technical artist, with at least 1 project in current-gen
[/li][li]Strong overall artistic ability (composition, color, 3D modeling, texturing, etc.)
[/li][li]Experience in developing material, shader, and effects for current gen projects and platforms
[/li][li]Strong understanding of rendering, vertex and pixel shaders
[/li][li]Strong knowledge of creating simple and sophisticated scripts in 3D packages (3DS Max, Maya)
[/li][li]Strong Understanding of rendering, budgets, and other technical issues related to performance
[/li][li]Experience in collaborating with graphic programmers and mentoring artists, schedules
[/li][li]Strong knowledge using and working with the Unreal3 Engine, U3 Editor and Kismet is a plus.
