Procedural fracturing

Hey guys.

The last couple years there been alot of discussion on procedural modeling of cracks and fractures. What are your experencies? Anything automated out there on the shelf?

Anyone tried converting this paper to actual code? :slight_smile:

Unreal has some procedural fracturing tools with it now, they’re decent, the object remains a single draw call until it’s fractured and it figures out how to map the interior material.

Havoc also has Havoc destruction which I’m sure could be used for the same. Are you talking about just for modeling or for the simulation as well?
