Hey this is a script I made a few months ago for a teacher of mine for Maya’s particle cache. He didn’t like how he couldn’t cache out a single particle out at a time or that if he had cached the scene out he would have to delete that cache to see any updates he made. So he made a challenge to the class to see if there was a work around. So the script I made allows the user to cache the entire scene and also cache selected particle and save them out into their own folder. Also you can remove the cache of certain particle to make changes or updates. It’s a pretty simple script but I know I could further expand on it and make it more useful, but I’m not to sure what to add to make it more useful. So if you wouldn’t mind checking out my script and giving me some feed back, I’d really appreciate it. I threw in a read me, cause I know how bad I can be at wording things somethings.
Also, I thought about making a similar scirpt for fluids because I have been told people use that more often, but after looking at Maya’s fluid cache options it appears that they have everything covered. Let me know if I’m wrong.
