To answer to Dimitri about the Auto-Rig:
When you select a bodypart you are actually referencing a pre-defined scene
that contain the handles but also the information on which script to trigger once at the rigging stage.
if you connect bodyparts together you tag themselves with a custom value, the default values are normal biped types of connection.
So there’s a code to put the joints correctly considering their placement then the next step just launch the various procedures of the elements in the scene to build the rig.
it would launch 3 times the arm building proc if there’s 3 in the scene etc.
it’s also going to connect the elements together according to the tagging on the bodyparts.
Also the last stage gets rid of the referenced file so you have only the rig remaining.
