I’m exporting an animated character from Maya 8 to FBX to bring into Max 2009. Everything is coming through fine but the UV’s are getting nuked. I did an .obj transfer just to see if I was being dumb but that worked fine.
My FBX version is FBX200602_MB75. I tried both ASCII and Binary. No dice. Any ideas? Is there a newer FBX plugin that I could use? Quick search I didn’t see anything.
Updating the FBX Plugin for Max 2009 fixed the bug.
I got locked onto Maya being the cause of the problem for some reason, and after looking at the ASCII files and seeing the UVs, reimporting the file in Maya and getting UV’s, it became apparent that Max was at fault.
