Max rigging noob question

Someone trying hard to avoid learning Max rigging (me) needs to:

Read helpers local rotate x value (helpers rotation is controlled by a look at controller)
Divide this number by say 6
Pipe the value into the local rotate x value of a joint.

Please post detailed how to… Or better yet, swing by and do it for me :slight_smile:

If I’m correctly understanding what you’re trying to do, the ExposeTM (Expose Transforms) helper is your best friend. :):

Yes, expose transform is what you will want to read the value, then use the wire parameters (alt 5) or animation menu-wire parameters to connect the values and ad the / expression to the new joint.
