My confidential client in Toronto (think global, think BIG) is looking for someone to lead their technical art team.
This person will have solid experience documenting the graphic production pipeline (including modeling, animation, characters, lighting, SFX, etc.) and ensure adequate and thorough follow up. He or she will essentially guide the vision of the game by ensuring tools are tested before deployment into production, record tech innovations and restrictions and ensure thorough communication across graphic and tools teams, and overall - be a solid leader to the department.

Requirements:

[li]• AEC in graphic design 2D and 3D or AEC in video game development or Bachelor in Graphic Communication • 3 to 5 years pertinent experience in 3D real-time (Level Artist, Modeler, Texturer, Assistant Graphic Technical Director) • Experience in the supervision of artists through a creation process is an asset ; • Detailed knowledge of the tasks and roles required to produce a video game • Detailed knowledge of the technical constraints of engines and the different game platforms; • Knowledge of 2D and 3D graphic software • Knowledge of an asset management system (ex : Perforce, VSS, Alienbrain) ; • Knowledge of a programming language (C++…) (an asset) ; • Knowledge of Max Script (an asset).[/li][/ul]
