Hey everyone. I’ve lived in Texas pretty much all my life and plan to move to LA eventually. I also have a few friends looking for a place in the Burbank/Noho area very soon.
I’ve checked online, but so many reviews are for “areas” of LA, and nowhere specific.
I see a lot of the forum posters are LA locals, and I was wondering if any of you have any specific apartment complex recommendations. Anywhere is fine, but Burbank recs would help my friends out greatly.
I lived at 1200 Riverside complex in Burbank. It was great although quality of service was on the way down. Still has whats perhaps the best pool in Burbank though!
There are decent complexes by the Warner lot, north of 134, like the Oaks.
i used westside rentals for apartment searches… i’m not sure how useful it is for burbank and the valley and that sort of thing, i only lived in the venice area when i lived in la, but it’s worth checking out. it costs money to get an account but it is worth it - in my experience, landlords often would not even bother posting on craigslist etc and go straight to westside rentals.
this was in like 2008 though so i can’t vouch for the state of the service now.
westside rentals is your go-to. 60 bucks for 2 months.
padmapper.com is also ok, but westside is for the people who really want to find something.
I’ll +1 both of these, also to the westside in general. West LA has a ton of options for decent prices, you can live relatively close to the beach and amenities depending on what you’re looking for.
You could probably also post any spots you’re looking at and we could let you know about the specific area. Hard to suggest things outright but easy to give intel on spots.
