Position Summary: Filament Games is seeking a talented and bright Game Designer to join its core development team.
Description: Designers at Filament Games take the helm on specific learning game projects, serving as both Lead Designer and Client Advocate. You’ll draft and present game design documentation, create and test spreadsheets, write and edit narrative content, and work with developers on data integration. During game production you’ll test new features, provide feedback, and work with clients to clarify their goals and expectations.
Qualifications
• Degree in interactive game design or equivalent experience
• One or more completed game title (not necessarily digital) with collaborative or sole responsibility for design and design documentation
• Please provide at least one example of pre-production design documentation that describes an innovative and interesting game project
• Positive attitude and outstanding communication skills
Plusses
• Indie game design experience
• A knowledge and affection for strange and esoteric games
• Passion for learning and for designing learning experiences
