I have a couple of the other Inspired book series. They were interesting reads, but a bit too brief/non-technical about lots of things. They were more on the introductory level. Can you describe the book a bit? Does it have lots of neat tricks, or is it mostly a conceptual overview? I guess I could find out for myself if I researched, though. I’m looking for a book to recommend to a couple people- I’m beginning to think there must be better ways than ‘just find a tutorial online’ to learn, seeing how much more important technical arts are.
Hey Rob, When we wrote the book we tried very hard to make sure that it was written for people that had read or have the first book, meaning that we don’t hold hands much but there are lots of getting in and getting your hands dirty and not a lot of going over the same things that are covered every where else.
I wanted a book that would be useful beyond one rev of software and tried to write it as such.
You can find it Barns and Noble if you want to look. While its mostly Maya based we do cover a good deal of theory and Most of what I do in Maya can be done in Max, There are a few call outs to Max way of doing things.

Actualy, I am going to post a pdf of the table of contents so people can see what is in it… I just realized there was not a TOC any where on the web so I am uploading one here and on the blog.
