Hiring a full time Game Programmer

Filament seeks an industry professional or recent graduate to join our core development team. Responsibilities include designing and implementing game interactions, mechanics and systems, integrating content and artwork, and managing the life cycle of multiple products. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of game industry experience (education or entertainment) and a well-rounded background in software engineering.

Qualifications
At least 6 years of object oriented programming experience
A bachelor’s or associates degree in computer science or a related field
At least one shipped title, mod or prototype (any budget, any platform)
Experience designing and implementing complex systems
Extensive game literacy

Plusses
Knowledge of ActionScript 3, PHP, or Java
Experience with Apache Ant or another build tool
Experience with Subversion or another version control tool
Experience with Eclipse, Flash Builder, FlashDevelop, or Flash Professional
Experience developing networked applications
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Interest in education
Proven initiative

Compensation
