Anybody else using Havok for character cloth?
If so, I’d be curious on how you guys setup this pipeline.
Our setup works but it’s not the most ideal since work can easily get clobbered.
So we have a static mesh file that gets referenced in as well as a skeleton. This file becomes essentially the exported file to engine. Both Character Artists and TA’s export out from this file. We are putting or cloth setup in this file since this is the file to export we want to make sure cloth data is exported as well.
The problems have been when character artists are changing the shape or topology of the model. Now obviously the sim mesh has to be updated but the character artists just ignores this and exports anyways. Could be ok or could break the cloth setup.
So hoping if any other TA’s are willing to share a bit of there Cloth Pipeline setup and how you guys handle iterations and seamless exports.
