Character TD - Job Summary
Green Grass Studios is hiring Character TDs with a strong desire to join a talented and quickly
growing team. Our team is creating extremely flexible and expressive character rigs to push
acting and performance to new heights for our projects and properties. We are a multi-platform
storytelling studio specializing in feature-quality animation and mobile app development.
Our ideal candidate has strong technical skills in rigging, astute artistic sense, and a pinch of mad
computer scientist. Our Character TDs are challenged to not only create incredible rigs as part of
our character team, but also plus every shot with fantastic character effects work.

Responsibilities
[ul]
[li]Work directly with: Directors, Character Designers, Animators, Modelers, and Visual Development Artists to define and create amazing animation rigs for a wide range of styles and art directions
[/li][li]Responsible for the creation and success of each character or asset
[/li]Help develop character pipeline tools and solutions
[li]Effects for shot production, including cloth and hair simulation
[/li][/ul]
Requirements
[ul]
[li]Exceptional artistic and technical skills
[/li][li]Experience working in collaborative environments and working extremely well with other artists
[/li][li]Solid understanding of the principles of animation
[/li][li]Extensive knowledge of anatomy, kinematics, and physical behaviors
[/li][li]Strong problem-solving ability
[/li][li]Extensive experience and knowledge in Maya
[/li][li]Advanced experience with Python and MEL scripting a must. Knowledge of other programming languages a plus
[/li][li]Experience in Character Modeling and Blendshape creation
[/li][li]Experience in Hair/Cloth simulation
[/li][li]Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Art
[/li][li]Experience with Unity 3D a plus
[/li][/ul]
