Ghostly Studios is seeking a Technical Artist

Ghostly Studios is seeking a Technical Artist for a full-time contract position located at Quantico, VA.

Responsibilities:
The Technical Artist will be responsible for general coding, shaders, building and integrating tools and third party plugins, and will be responsible for the motion capture work for the team. The Technical Artist will act as the point of contact between art and coding teams, and will build the tools and handle the integrations required by artists.

Requirements:
• 3 years of professional experience.
• Proficient with Motion Capture
• Writing UnrealScript files for game or simulation projects in the Unreal Engine 3 or Unreal Development Kit (UDK).
• Familiarity working with Unreal Engine 3 plugins such as BINK video middleware and Beast Global Illumination middleware
• Demonstrate best practices for commenting code.
• Custom scripting of supporting tools in MaxScript, MEL or Python.
• Has experience programming custom shaders inside Maya and 3DS Max.
• 3D Game Engine technologies such as Unreal Engine, Gamebryo, CryEngine, Id Tech, etc.
• Microsoft Windows 98, NT, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, 2003 and Windows 7 operating systems.
• Experience with Scaleform implementations within Unreal Engine 3 is highly desirable.
• Experience working with Unreal Engine 3 source code is highly desirable.
• Experience writing scripts for the Unity 3D game development tool is highly desirable.
