I’m currently looking for a tech art or fx job. My skills as an fx artist is mostly in-game using the unreal engine 3. As a tech artist, I write scripts in both maxscript and mel. I am very much an entry level guy since I just graduated last December. Here’s the link to my portfolio www.jak3dbaet.com
Coming from an FX side, i would have really loved to see those level FX a bit more instead of rushing from point to point to try to get them all in on one pass. Level FX usually need a good “sit down” to really appreciate them, so focusing on a couple of your best and letting the effect play out might be the best way to show them off.
The weapon FX also look cool but i was looking forward to seeing the pieced together final effect. Including the final effect or at least the whole effect staged to look final might really help.
Keep it up man and good luck out there!
~Jeff
PS. Including particle counts and instruction counts on your materials might also be helpful, but not mandatory at all.
thanks Jeff. that demo reel was rushed. The current game project I am working on will be released in a month, so I’ll have a revised demo reel with actual in-game footage of my effects being used in the levels. Thanks again for the advice.
