Flagship Closes

Unfortunate news happened this weekend when Flagship had to close shop. I really enjoyed the GDC presentation (and of course, their products) on their Max pipeline. I hope their staff is able to bounce back without a hitch. Good luck guys, it was certainly a talented bunch.

It always sucks to see this happen. I hope everyone involved finds new and interesting opportunities.

Does anyone know if their GDC presentation is available online anywhere?

Thanks. I saw that after I posted the question. I’m still in the process of catching up on all the posts.

And regarding the subject of the thread, it’s always sad when a studio closes. I’ve never gone through an actual closure, but I have been one of the lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it) few left behind after massive layoffs following the completion of a project.

Thats unfortunate. Breaking up a team itself can be damaging, work relationships etc that lead to a faster workflow, now they have to get adjusted to another studio.

When one site closes, several other ones are launching or about to launch. There are always new ones being built.
