I’m doing a free webinar on Monday that is the first of a three part series I’m doing on Facial Rigging. Though there will be an ‘instructional’ aspect to it, my focus is to discuss the different philosophies present in facial rigging and how they apply (and don’t apply) to different types of productions. Most of the information I have to offer is based off of our experiences dealing with hundreds of different facial rigs and how our production team’s experiences have been with them, both technically and artistically.
It’s definitely not going to be a “this is how it should be done, always” sort of discussion. It’s an open forum where I’d simply like to share our rigging experiences with the community in the hopes to pass on some of what we’ve learned.
I’ll post to this thread once the video is up. We’re having trouble getting the video edited as GoToWebinar uses a proprietary, uneditable codec that is presenting quite a bit of trouble. I’ll keep ya posted.
