Hey all,

Who are you guys using? How are they to work with? Who’s new that looks interesting?

We’re shopping around for who is going to provide our next round of optical capture and I figured I’d see what you guys had to say on the matter.

At the moment we’re about to put out feelers to:

  • Motus Digital
  • Perspective Studios
  • Motion Analysis Studios
  • Elektrashock Studios

I would really like to find some contact info on the SCEA capture studios.

If you guys have studios, I wanna hear about them. We’re Redmond Wa based though so Sweden is a bit far I’m afraid :wink:

Volition has used Perspective Studios fairly exclusively over the last 3 projects (Saints Row, Saints Row 2, Red Faction Guerilla). As the animation lead on SR1 and SR2, I was extremely pleased with their quality, professionalism and working relationship with us. Being in Redmond, you have west coast access to their LA studio, too.

I though MAS was closed? Motus is new and looks like they are doing some cool things. I met those guys at GDC and they seemed eager to get work.

What level of data quality are you guys looking to get delivered? If you want delivery all the way onto your rigs, I like Perspective’s work. If you want to just get raw data, I’m not sure Perspective will deliver that to you (in order to maintain quality control), but there are other studios that will negotiate that with you.
