Smart boys,How to place a number of locators onto a former sphere surface,and make all of the distances between any two neighbor locators equal to a fixed value?:D:

I’d suggest starting from an icosahedron.

You can make the distance between points smaller by tessellating the edges.

3d Studio Max has a GeoSphere primitive that has an “Icosa” setting to help out.

I’m not sure how you would set an arbitrary length though – you wouldn’t get nicely arranged triangles then.
