The studio behind the critically acclaimed and multiple award winning 2011 game Deus Ex : Human Revolution is currently looking for a few Technical Artists to join our team on a permanent full time basis at our Montreal studio.

Description
Responsibilities:
• Develop new techniques and processes to solve visual effect production challenges;
• Innovate and solve artistic technical issues for tool development used in game production, in order to improve work processes;
• Work efficiently with programming staff while representing the art;
• Research an innovative visual and technical point of view in dealing with process and pipeline creation;
• Document processes and procedures thoroughly;
• Push and/or define hardware and art limitations for the project;
• Work closely with the technical director, debug and evaluate new tools;
• Interact and communicate effectively with management on both a project and studio level.
Experience and Qualifications:
• 3 to 5 years experience as a real time 3D Artist (Level Artist, Model Artist, Texturer, Assistant Art Technical Director)
• Preferrably 1 AAA title on current-gen consoles (Xbox306, PS3 or PC)
• Intermediate to Expert in 3DS Max (including Maxscript)
• Intermediate to Expert in Unreal Engine 3
• Knowledge of other game engines an asset
• Knowledge of streaming
• Experience as a level artist
• Knowledge or experience with node-base shader systems
• Knowledge of HLSL an asset
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages an asset (C#, C++, Python, .Net, etc.)
• Strong understanding of all game development aspects and departments
• Strong understanding of engine constraints of different platforms
