Double Fine is looking for a VFX Artist (or Senior VFX Artist), to work with us at our San Francisco office. We have a variety of projects and team sizes, ranging from downloadable to retail on 360, PS3, PC and Kinect titles, and are located in the heart of San Francisco (SOMA), right next to Caltrain and Bart transit.
We have a fully developed AAA engine and feature rich effect system (You can get more details from 2010’s GDC talk: Rock Show VFX ), and our games run the gamut from realistic (Brutal Legend, Trenched) to stylized (Costume Quest, Once Upon a Monster) and everything in between (Stacking).
Your role as a VFX Artist here would encompass particles, shaders, effect meshes, lighting and post processing. In addition to production, you’ll be helping to push our effect system forward, exploring new hardware and technologies, and working closely with other artists, engineers and visionary leads like Tim Schafer and Lee Petty to realize the teams creative vision.
