Hey All,
I was digging through some animation packages and stumbled across this one http://www.digitalfish.com/
it looks pretty cool, has anyone used it? What was the overall experience with it?
How is the rigging inside the package? They mention that there is a scripting language but was unable to find an example, is it useful?
I am chomping at the bit to get my hands on a version of it, there is some potential and i would love to get my grubby rigging hands on it :D:
Hey Adam.
Yes its really great animation software, I do work with them and the rigging is currently done with the scripting language and like MotionBuilder some rigging like skinning and skeleton creation happens over in Maya. You can contact them on the website if you want to talk with them about it for Pipeworks.
Hope things are going well with you.
Brad.
Hey Brad,
Things are going well over here, we have a project coming up that has some custom characters, not just bipedal\quad, so we were looking at going back to maya but i stumbled across this and it looked interesting. For this project we will most likely go to maya but our animators want to try this program out as well. I contacted them yesterday to see about a trial version, and am waiting for a response.
Thanks again for all your help with that Rigging in MotionBuilder, we are still interested in getting a little more training since we are all newbies in the program and are still having some workflow issues.
Thanks
Adam
