Do you have a link to the reel?
here you go bclark http://carlkeifer.com/joomla/index.php/demoreels
Over all first watch impression- showing to much compressed down to fast, some bad looking work in there as well…could cut half the content and let the good stuff breath and
@reverse pan leg rig- feet shouldn’t be pulling away/moving when the knee PVec moves.
ear simulation was mushy…don’t show bad deformation
I wanted to see deformation work form the muscle rig, no mesh display and it was on a cutup rig…and went by fast couldn’t see it on the jump…the muscle layout itself looked like it could have been good.
Shotsculpt- I really can’t tell what you fixed or not-? The shoulder/arm area sticks out as needing some work.
PSD was nice, went by fast
Face rigging dog- cut that.
The Town musicians piece was much better at both being fun to watch and showing off your rigging skill. Very good.
Sorry, I don’t have more time at the moment to get in to it…but there is good work in there, just need to show it, cut the not so good stuff and give it all time to see what is happening.
your site is down, php error. Unexpected t_string.
I think another thing that would help a ton is to get better animations on those rigs. Work with a talented animation student to help both show off your rig and the animation it is capable of providing. It will help make your work shine more and also show that you know how to work with an animator to develop a rig that will allow them to produce good quality work.
Thanks for looking at my work everyone. I just posted a revised rigging/TD reel that includes deformation tests for the muscle rig. I would have posted them sooner except I didn’t have the finished model. anyway thanks again for all the great critiques.
