hey man, cool stuff, but you gota get the link working on the page. Preview post before you submit! Also there’s a wierd few frames a the end of the video that snap really quick. It’s a thanks page, but looks like a flicker. I’d either make it longer or remove it.
thanx shawn… any suggestion for my demo…
My one thought would be to show the rig in practice. Either animate it or have a friend animate it. It’s hard to judge the motion of the rig with single control motions. What you want to see is if it can emote well, create realistic or believable motion. I know I’ve made my share of rigging mistakes where a single control works fine on it’s own, but in the combo of another motion breaks something or has bad limitations to it. Seeing the controls move is great, and mostly seeing controls that simplify animation problems. So not so much fk and IK arms as much as while in IK mode, can I plant the elbow, or can I roll the foot with one attribute rather than two. etc.
What you have there is cool and shows off some stuff, but I still can’t particularly tell how good it makes the end result animation with what you’ve shown.
I agree with Sean’s comment. Your character is very cool and would be great to see it in action. That would show the motion system of your rig.
Could you tell me where did you get this character? I am in search of buying a realistic model for my rigging project.
There’s a really good Jeff Unay model that comes with the Hyper Realistic rigging series that I believe Autodesk put out. I used to use that in my teaching because it had really good anatomy and geometry and deformed really well.
Thanks for the info. I will have to check hyper realistic series.
Really nice rig!
nice Reel
