Are there any tricks to controlling the sort order of Alpha Blended/Opaque CGFX Shaders in the Maya Viewport?
I am having trouble with my Opaque objects drawing on top of my Alpha Blended objects.
I tried Viewport 2.0 and the default Viewport, changing the sorting options of the model panel and messed with all the alpha and z-buffer properties in my shaders, but with no luck.
It is controlled by the order the objects are created in? I know that’s what it was driven by in Max, not sure about Maya.
I’m pretty sure it’s controlled by the order in the scene graph. Try to move stuff up in the outliner.
