Technical Artist
Overview
Seeking a highly motivated Technical Artist for the Dead Space franchise on Xbox 360 and PS3 to take ownership for the technical delivery of environment art assets across a collaborative development production environment.
Technical Artists (TAs) act as a bridge between the artists and programmers on the development team. They ensure artists have the tools and knowledge they need to create assets efficiently and to budget and performance specifications. TAs develop asset pipelines that ensure assets are easily integrated into the game without sacrificing overall artistic vision or exceeding the technical budgets of the engine.
This is a major opportunity to greatly contribute creatively to exciting unique franchise and build game features that will take our products to the next level.

• Work closely with the art teams to spec and implement assets and ensure other TAs and asset creators follow integration protocol
• Review art assets for technical integrity before integrating them into the game and provide clear feedback when needed
• Maintenance of art asset pipelines
• Create and improve tools based on desired production practices and workflow
• Proactively seek out inefficiencies and problems in existing processes
• Develop and share methods for artists to deliver quality assets, efficiently and within budget.
